The Val Deakin Dance Theatre Trust, formed in 1973, presents professional dance performance with a repertoire that ranges from new modern dances to lively restagings of full-length classical ballets.

The Val Deakin Dance School, affiliated with but separate from the Val Deakin Dance Theatre Trust, offers classes in ballet, jazz, modern and tap for children as young as age 5 through adults. Additionally there are pre-school movement classes for 3-5 year olds, as well as classes in character dance, mime and pas de deux for advanced dancers. Lessons in ballroom dancing are offered.
